Santa Barbara II

OK here are the pictures from the walk that my mom and I took after resting.

Some more stuff from the hotel: OMGGG THE MOST AWESOME.... THING... I'VE EVER SEEN!!! What is it anyways??? In any case, it's an object in the shape of a flip flop. CRAZY!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S AN ACTUAL PELICAN!!! THE VERY FIRST I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!!! AND IT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!!!!!! I guess it was sheltering from the wind (oh, and how did I notice it? I saw some white blobs leading up to it. Yeah.)

These are my favorite types of palm trees... those small ones, or those with "beards" made of dead leaves are not pretty... but these are like circular :] There are not many of these in Loma Linda...

To give you a better picture of how big this bird is, here's a view from above (trust me, it was really hard to get this picture-- this big sopping wet plant was directly in the way).

We walked up a set of stairs (it lead to more rooms in the hotel) and saw this beautiful mosaic!!

Omg!! On the railing was this type of TREE!!! OMGGG it twists around anything it can hold onto and it looks so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When we got down the stairs again (there really wasn't much to see up there), I checked on the bird's hiding spot and it was GONEEEE but then I turned around (led again by a trail of poop (I know...)) and the bird was sitting in a (possibly) more sheltered place (there was a hedgerow right out of the picture, so don't say that place is exposed).

So we went back inside and got my dad out to start our walk around the city, and I got my first close-up glimpse of the beach at Santa Monica (and also of a sleeping hobo lol)
MORE TO COME! It's a lot of pictures! More than 100! Cut me some slack... I've been on the computer for around 2 hours organizing and stuff... I'll post more when I have the time!

Santa Barbara

This weekend I went to Santa Barbara! It was really fun, and when we were done sightseeing around Santa Barbara, we went to visit one of my best friends' homes and we played some games and all that. (Sorry, I don't have any pictures from that)

BUT I do have pictures from Santa Barbara!

First, though, I have some random pictures that I took on the same memory card before S.B... so here come the pictures!

I got this in the mail!!! (Well, actually, it was the previous owners of the house that got it, but it came to OUR mailbox so technically it's OUR mail!!!!) I've ALWAYS wanted to see one of these little seals!!!!
This was the night of the fullest and brightest moon (according to NASA) on January 29. See that pale glow on the ground in my backyard??? YEEEAH THAT'S THE MOON'S LIGHT!!!
Like a flashlight. It almost hurt to look at the moon directly. I couldn't believe that the moon could possibly get so bright!!

A painting
Man I want something like this in my room!!! They painted the green and stuck some white stickers to make those little swirly designs (and by the way, the design that's painted on the wall is the same design that they printed on their key cards (that little card that you slide to get into the room))
So after we settled into the hotel room, we just like crashed on the couches until it was time to eat. We ate at this delicious restaurant with a view (sorry, it was dark and I couldn't take any good pictures) and then went back home and THEN gave into slumber.

The next day when we woke up though... that's another story to be told at another time. Sorry! I'm kind of tired now and I'm intalling Adobe Photoshop CS2 and it's taking a while and problems are coming up and I REALLY want Photoshop and I have to fix these problems!!! Bye!
